How much does a wedding videographer cost in Tyler, TX?

The short answer

In 2026, published wedding videography prices in Tyler, Texas run from about $2,000 to $4,200, depending mostly on how many hours you need. Nationally, couples spend an average of $2,300, according to The Knot's 2025 Real Weddings Study.

What couples actually spend

The Knot surveyed more than ten thousand couples who married in 2025. The average they spent on a videographer was $2,300. The middle half of couples spent between $1,000 and $3,300, and the median was $1,900. In the South, the average was a little lower, at $2,100.

Here in Tyler, the videographers we found with public prices start at about $2,000. Others only quote by request, which usually means a conversation before you see a number. Our own film packages run from $2,200 to $4,200, and we put every price on our website because we think you should be able to plan without a phone call.

What changes the price

  • Hours of coverage. This is the biggest factor. Six hours usually covers the ceremony and the main reception moments. Eight covers most full days, from getting ready to the send-off.
  • How many videographers. A second shooter means two angles on the vows and the reactions you'd otherwise miss.
  • What you get back. A short highlight film, a full-length film, a teaser, social reels or a next-day edit. Each one is real editing time.
  • Drone footage. Aerial shots of the venue and the send-off, when the venue, FAA rules and the weather allow it.
  • Travel. Weddings far from the videographer's home base can add travel time.

How East Texas couples save

  • Match the hours to your timeline. If your ceremony and reception are at the same venue, you may not need ten hours.
  • Book photo and video with one team. A bundle usually costs less than two separate vendors, and you get one timeline and one point of contact.
  • Ask about paying in full. With us, paying up front takes $300 to $500 off. Prefer to spread it out? Two or three installments work too.

Questions we hear a lot

How many hours of wedding video coverage do we need?

Eight hours covers most weddings from getting ready to the send-off. If your ceremony and reception are at different venues, or your reception runs late, consider ten.

Is the drone always included?

In our packages, drone coverage starts at Signature. It always depends on the venue's rules, FAA regulations and the weather on the day.
